Dear Friends,

I hope this note finds you well and truly enjoying the last days of summer. By now, some of your little ones may have already headed back to the classroom and some of you might be counting down the days until school starts next week. In either case, I hope you ease into September after a restful and fun summer.

One of the things I love most about this time of year is the anticipation of things to come—cool, crisp weather, handing out treats on Halloween, and even those yet-to-be-baked Christmas cookies. There’s truly just so much to look forward to once the calendar pushes its way into fall.

On a personal level, in about two weeks, I’ll be taking my son to a weekly Toddler Time class in our neighborhood, sort of a step up from story time at the local library, to a classroom environment for more fun, play, and singing with a group of toddlers his age. It seems impossible to me that he’s ready for this, yet here it is just the same.

WALL·E
by Jim Judy

It's the year 2775 and Earth has been abandoned for centuries by humans whose trash eventually overwhelmed the planet. The one entity still at work, however, is a little trash collector robot known as WALL·E (voice of BEN BURTT), short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class. Starring the Voices of Ben Burtt and Elissa Knight.
